i wonder what does engagement really means to different individual.

i guess its a form of 'ikatan' before marriage

to get to know the family/relatives of the other side and understand each other deeper

mama told me,

having the status 'fiance' is more sopan when u introduce your partner to your big family/relatives rather than introducing him as 'your boyfriend'..

and its more of a preparation to your big day in terms of financial, planning etc

.

quite logic uh.
